Once you've signed the paperwork for a portable building, it's important to be ready for the shed delivery and installation. For off-lot sheds, cabins, or garages in inventory, your delivery could be scheduled as early as 5-10 days after your order is placed.
Preparing Your Site For Shed Delivery
Getting Started
Deciding to invest in an outdoor structure to add to your yard can be an in-depth process. Before you even start shopping for a portable shed, you will want to determine the location where the building will be placed. Next, you will need to check with local city and county offices for any building permits, zoning, homeowner's association rules, and/or covenants required prior to placing a portable building on the property. You should also be aware of any setbacks and/or right of ways. This will help you avoid any costly mistakes for not being in compliance with regulations or ordinances. Foundation
Having an appropriate foundation for your shed will ensure a longer lifespan for the portable structure. Our buildings are manufactured on 4 x 6 reinforced pressure treated runner beams, utilizing one of the solid foundations listing below will protect the base of the building, reduce settling over time and maintain our craftsmanship warranty.
Concrete Pad (recommended)
A 4"-5" thick concrete pad provides a sturdy, durable, and attractive foundation for your building.
Compacted Gravel (popular)
A compacted gravel base which extends 2' from each side of base of building. Framing the base with 4'6' railroad ties or cement blocks will keep the gravel in place and provide a cleaner appearance.
Concrete Blocks (economical)
Buildings can be placed on concrete blocks. Customer is responsible for furnished blocks and should have these ready and available onsite at time of delivery. Buildings may not be placed on blocks higher than 24" from the ground.
Access
Our delivery experts are able to place buildings at their permanent location with the help of a machine called a Mule. This machine allows drivers more precise maneuverability of the portable building with minimal impact to your lawn. Delivery site should be dry, accessible and clear of any obstructions, including tree limbs, debris, fences and gates, wires or other obstructions. Path of access should be a minimum of 2' wider than the width of your building, with clearance to make any necessary turns.
When the delivery professional contacts you to schedule delivery, make them aware of any potential obstructions such as ditches, bridges, overhanging eaves, or power lines.
Ground Anchors / Tie Downs
Ground Anchors/Tie-Downs are not included in purchase of building. Customer must provide Ground Anchors/Tie-Downs or request at delivery scheduling to purchase directly from driver.

Accepting Delivery Of Your Building
Scheduling
Our delivery professionals work quickly and efficiently to place buildings on site, they will call you 24-48 hours prior to confirm scheduling for your delivery date and time. An average building installation ranges from 30-90 minutes. In order to facilitate a smooth delivery and placement of the shed exactly where you want it, you should make arrangements to be present at your delivery.
Delivery Inspection
Once the installation is complete, a final check will ensure the portable building is ready for use. Upon inspection, you will confirm that the building is level, all doors and windows are intact and functional, and you have received door keys. The driver will request your signature on the Delivery Certificate to acknowledge satisfaction with the shed and installation. If any issues are found at this time, please notify your driver immediately and submit a repair order with descriptions and photos for us to provide the manufacturer.
After Delivery
Final Payment
Outright Purchases: The remaining balance on full outright purchases are due at delivery. If a repair order is being submitted, at least half of the remaining balance is due at delivery. The remaining 25% will be collected by the repair technician upon completion of repair order.
Rent to Own Purchases: If the building was placed on a monthly Rent to Own contract, you will make payments to Heartland Capital Investments. You will be contacted by their customer service department for a welcome call after your delivery to arrange payments. You can contact the Customer Service Department directly at 270-247-3199.
Review

Engineered Plans
If you need to request a copy of our engineered building plans to obtain local permits for your portable building purchase, please submit the Engineered Plans request form. Once we have verified your purchase, we will send the specific plans for your area.
Repairs
If any issues arise with your building after delivery, it is important that you contact the corporate office immediately to resolve those. Our buildings are covered by a 5-year craftsmanship warranty, and our repair specialist will work expediently with the shop to make the necessary repairs.
When submitting a repair form, please include as much information as possible. Information and photos you provide regarding the scope of work allows us to send a repair technician with all the supplies and equipment needed to complete the work.
