Base Rail

The horizontal rail into which our legs fit, often considered the “foundation” or “feet” of the structure.

Bow
The truss used in our 12’-24’ wide structures, made from a long tubular steel piece bent into a bow shape (like a bow and arrow) for added strength, supported by a peak brace.

Drop Panel
A panel that hangs down the side of the carport, serving both as a decorative element and as a guard against rainwater, particularly between a lean-to and the main structure.

End Wall
The wall enclosing the two non-weight-bearing sides of the structure, referred to as the "ends."

Gable End
A decorative feature that enhances both the style and lateral stability of a carport.

Hat Channel
Components used to anchor the roof panels on vertical-style carports. When viewed from the side, they resemble the shape of a top hat.

Header Bar
Bars located above garage doors or large openings that redistribute the roof’s weight across both sides of the opening, allowing entry through spaces where a “leg” would typically be placed.

J-Trim
Trim shaped like the letter “J” when viewed from the side, providing both a decorative feature and a cover for sharp edges on the drop panel.

L-Trim
Trim designed to outline and protect the sharp edges around doors and windows. When viewed from the side, it has the shape of the letter "L."

Lean-To
Additions that extend up to 15 feet in width, featuring one set of legs on the outside and connecting to the central carport structure, which supplies the other pair of legs.

Leg
Vertical poles that support the weight of the roof on the carport structure.

Leg Brace
A support that connects the legs to the truss/bow of the carport, providing extra strength and stability for the roof.

Peak Brace
A brace that adds strength and structural support to carports ranging from 12’ to 24’ in width.

Side Wall
The walls that enclose the weight-bearing sides of the carport structure, referred to as the "sides."

Wainscot
A decorative feature that changes the color of the bottom 3 feet of the enclosed sides, adding style to the design.

45-Degree Trim Kit
A decorative feature that softens the corners of top openings by replacing the standard 90-degree angles with four 45-degree angles, also known as a “Dutch opening.”
